2008 Public Presentation
The Obstacles to Using Eye Drops to Manage Glaucoma
Dr. Cindy Hutnik will speak about the Obstacles to Using Eye Drops to Manage Glaucoma on Thursday, October 16 at 5:45 p.m. at the CNIB, 1929 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.
Using eye drops daily is an effective way to slow, and in some cases, halt the progress of glaucoma. But eye drops are only effective if patients use them regularly and correctly. Dr. Hutnik examines the obstacles associated with the routine use of eye drops to manage glaucoma.
Dr. Hutnik has a full-time clinical glaucoma practice at the Ivey Eye Institute in London, Ontario. She is Medical Coordinator of the ophthalmic basic science laboratory at the Lawson Health Research Institute, London.
This presentation is part of the Glaucoma Research Society of Canada’s 2008 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Society welcomes members of the public to its AGM. Attendees at the meeting will also hear about the latest developments in glaucoma research and be able to ask leading ophthalmologists questions about glaucoma.
Admission and parking are free. Light refreshments will be available. The public should RSVP by phone: 416-483-0200 or e-mail: info@glaucomaresearch.ca
