2008 World Glaucoma Day

March 6 is World Glaucoma Day

Glaucoma is one of the most common eye diseases among older people and the second leading cause of blindness among older North Americans. Although there is no cure for glaucoma, early detection and treatment help slow its progress. The Glaucoma Research Society of Canada is the only charity in Canada dedicated solely to research into treatments and finding a cure for glaucoma. For more information on how you can support research into this disease, visit the society’s online donation page or call 416-483-0200.
