Since 2007 Paul H Artes is Associate Professor and Foundation Scholar in Glaucoma Research in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in Halifax.
His interests lie in applying new psychophysical and statistical techniques to clinical problems in glaucoma, mostly in the area of disease progression.
He trained as an optometrist at the University of Bradford (UK) and the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. After finishing a PhD (with Prof David Henson, University of Manchester, 2001), he completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellow with Balwantray Chauhan at Dalhousie University.
