Tom Gottlieb is a Professional Engineer by training, holding his M.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Mr. Gottlieb has extensive experience in software solutions design and implementation across a wide range of private and public sector applications. He prides himself in using a disciplined, pragmatic approach to solving challenging complex problems with simple solutions.
Before his retirement in 2017, he worked at MicroPact Global, Inc. as VP Enterprise Regulatory Solution Strategy, involved in all aspects of the company’s regulatory solutions practice including marketing, sales, budgeting, staffing, planning, product policy and direction, development, delivery, and senior account management.
Mr. Gottlieb is a visionary for government regulation in North America and helped establish MicroPact as a leading supplier of licensing and enforcement solutions in the government marketplace. He is a recognized North American expert on regulatory practices, legislation and reform. He has served as chair and co-chair of various committees for the Council on Licensure Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR) including program committees which determine content for the Council’s annual conference. He has often served both as speaker and session coordinator for CLEAR.
Prior to joining MicroPact, Mr. Gottlieb founded, owned and directed a private software development and consulting firm providing various financial accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing systems to small and medium sized companies.
Mr. Gottlieb is an excellent writer, communicator and leader with a deep understanding of Board procedures and operations. He is pleased to contribute his organizational, financial accounting, and information technology skills to the position of Treasurer for the Society.
